Enrolment Guidance


Prior to enrolment you will receive a Welcome Pack with information about Route2Work and your enrolment documentation. This must be completed and brought along with your to enrolment session, along with your original passport or birth certificate, your national insurance number and your current qualifications as proof of your level.

We’ve compiled some useful information to help prepare for starting at Route2Work.

How to find your National Insurance Number

When your young person turns 16 they are sent a letter containing their national insurance number. If you can’t locate this, please follow the guidance in the document below.

Learner Code of Conduct

As part of enrolment, Route2Work learners must read and agree to the learner code of conduct. This will be included in your Enrolment Booklet and in your Learner Hand Book.

Learner Code of Conduct

I agree to: 

  • Aim to achieve 100% attendance (this includes being on time for every lesson) 
  • Fully commit to all aspects of the learning programme 
  • Celebrate and respect diversity 
  • Act as a positive role model and as a good representative when at college, on visits or work placements 
  • Respect myself and everyone around me 
  • Follow the college rules on smoking and vaping 
  • Only use my mobile phone at break and lunchtime unless directed by tutor 
  • Stay safe online and tell staff if I have any concerns 
  • Behave in a manner which demonstrates respect for democracy and the rule of law 
  • Dress appropriately for the activity 

 I will not: 

  • Use violence and aggression towards others 
  • Bully, harass or discriminate against any member of the college community
  • Bring alcohol or drugs onto the college site or attend college while intoxicated
